Jim Andrews

Here's the first contribution to the project of guest works using the symbols/one-letter-poems. The author, Jim Andrews, is a great visual poet, author of the website http://www.vispo.com Thank you very much, Jim, for your wonderful work!

guests

I would like to invite you to participate in my project of these neopoemics.

Please choose one or more of the "one letter poems" from the series of these 35, print/draw/paint it, make a photo of it and send it to me before May 12th 2019 at pszren@wp.pl as an attachment. I will post your photo on this blog. Some (or all) of the guest works will be presented at an exhibition in Dom Słów in Lublin, Poland, May 22-26, 2019. A real exhibition (but printed in black-and white and presented in an underground manner, glued to a wall)!

If you send something, please tell me what you want to be written on this blog - your name, website address or something else (a short bio or anything you want).

Well, if you want to send something, it doesn't simply have to be a photo of a printed "one letter poem" from the series. You can paint the piece on a T-shirt, cut it out of something or use some kind of a different technique. Yes, you can use computer graphics and send me a jpg or png file (I will print it to show it on the exhibition, but I can show the digital version on this blog).

And please remember, that all this is a project of neopoemics, so you can include elements of comic frames and some kinds of visual poetry (but if you simply print out one of the graphics, and send me a photo of you holding the paper, it's also really great).

Again, to make it simple:

1) choose one of the "one letter poems" from these posted here;
2) print it/paint it or use it a different artistic way (but let the "one letter poem" be recognizable);
3) send me a graphic file to pszren@wp.pl
4) check this blog for news.
